Baby Cathulus and all that...

Well Tom and I hit Sushi Kim's for dinner again. It was pretty interesting. I got the Al Jee Gae and Tom went for the Sushi & Sashimi Combination Platter. Let's see. The jokes started when I mentioned that my dinner involved Fish Roe.
Then I found the tentacle looking things in the soup. MMMM... They were interesting. They didn't taste the way I was expecting them to taste. They weren't chewy or slimy. They had veins running through them and they looked fairly engouraged. Tom asked if I watched Star Trek, I countered asking him if he watched Far Scape *laugh* I offered Tom a bite. He turned it down. At which point I said "Oh yeah, that's right, you don't do things with tentacles" At this point I got all of the "little cathulus" (aka: pickled octapus) from his plate. (As well as the white tuna.. *yummy*) I was reminded of the first time that I had sushi for some strange reason :)
We asked what the tentacle looking things were. I guess that this is where the fish roe would be found in the fish. I looked at it and looked at Tom and said, "Some how knowing that makes it more appealing." *laugh* I hadn't thought that he could have looked less pleased. He managed :)
I know that you are all dying to know what fortunes we each got. *laugh* I meant to bring them with me, but I forgot. I opened mine and thougt that I had gotten his, but then I read his *xlaugh*
I am paraphrasing because I don't remember exactly
mine: Good planning bring good luck
tom's: You are not selfish when giving your advice or opinion
After dinner we headed up to the Venturing Committee meeting. That was pretty interesting. That might get it's own post. It will probably be a friends only post
