I typically shake the Lactaid before I pour it, but so much for regular milk.

If you're drinking milk that has not been homogenized, you kinda need to shake it to separate the cream that rises to the top, etc.

Well, I'm drinking milk that has been homogenized, but I think that is a fairly recent invention :) I think that I got it from my grandfather *grins* I've tried to not shake it, but it doesn't taste right to me. Of course it is more aerated when you shake it... :)

You are supposed to shake soy milk, so it's a habit for me when I grab real milk (which I'll use in tea).

Either my milk is too full to be shaken, or it's low enough (and old enough) that I test it first, to see if it's turned.

The first time I shook up the milk, to find it had separated and I just aerated the curds at the bottom, was too many times. Never again.
